AutoCAD 2023 slower than AutoCAD 2017 (Saving/Plotting)

Hello,

Our team has been having problems with the new AutoCAD 2023 and ever since we switched over, it's taking its sweet time saving or plotting files to PDF. It might be because we are using a lot of large aerial images (Xrefs) but this doesn't seem to be a problem on the 2017 version. I tested one of our files which took 30-45 minutes plotting on AutoCAD 2023 version and it only took 3 minutes on the 2017 version. Is there anything we could do to resolve this problem? Thank you for anyone responding to this query. Much appreciated.

RESET 2023 to remove all migrated content you moved from 2017 on one PC then test again with all 5 PDF drivers provided in the program. If you use an external PDF driver from a 3rd party, ask them for guidance.

AND... have you installed the 2023.1 Update yet? ABOUT command will confirm what you have installed. If not, get it from your Autodesk Account Page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates
Restart your PC afterwards.

Thank you for the quick reply, i suspected that the migration might have something to do with the slow performance, i'll try to reset everything to default and recreate the profile instead of migrating. I'll keep you posted. Cheers mate,

I read your post and my first question would be: Are you using also the native file format as you did it in 2017(?),

the native file format in 2023 is dwg2018!

?

We've been saving on 2013 format as the migration to 2023 was done by batch. But will change to 2018 format soon once all machines are migrated. Hope it helps with the save/plotting time as well. Thanks for the reminder, will add that on the list with the settings rebuild.
