AutoCAD 2023 - Objects are locked

Hi,

I have recently just downloaded autocad 2023 onto my software and had 2020 previously with all drawings, linetypes, print set ups and all that jazz. When i tried to open a file from 2020 onto my 2023 i noted that on some of my lines i a little lock symbol would appear on my crosshair and isnt allowing me to do some features. Is there any reason for this?

Thanks

The lock symbol indicates that the layer the object is on is locked. You would need to unlock the layer to edit/modify those objects.  You can use the LAYULK command and then select the object. You can also find this command on the ribbon in the layers panel of the home tab.
