I am noticing that while in the command of moving an object, if you try to zoom in, AutoCAD locks and will not respond until you hit esc. My AutoCAD 2021 (still installed) does not do this. I can zoom previous, just not zoom window.
I have reverted to using 2021 as this command within command is critical for what I do all day long.

Hi,
this is a new issue with 2022, reproducible ... run these steps:
All this is not recognized from the people using the mouse wheel to zoom and pan, but for others used to use 'ZOOM to zoom window it's a stopper (and it's new in 2022). E.g. for people with tablet instead of mouse.

Hi,
>> LINEFADING (whatever that is!)
Type in into the commandline
LINEFADING<ENTER>
<F1>
...and you'll see what this is 😉

Hi,
>> Linefading did not work.
For which issue, which AutoCAD version, which graphic card and driver?
>> Any other solutions?
Updating AutoCAD; updating graphic card driver, resetting the AutoCAD profile, uninstall plugins you use, check your drawings for errors (and referenced files); change mouse, change resolution of display(s), .... a lot of suggestions, but without knowing what exactly is happening and some information about your hardware/software I can't send "this one solution".

@david.fuller Have you installed the 2022.1 Update yet? If not, get it from your Autodesk Account Page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates
If that did not help... Set GFXDX12 variable to 0 (that's a zero) then restart AutoCAD/LT2022: reverting to DirectX11 fixes similar problems for most users.
If still no relief then start GRAPHICSCONFIG command and change the 2D Display Settings pulldown from "advanced mode" to one of the other choices.
If all else fails, then turn off Hardware Acceleration as a last resort.
If still no relief you have a system level issue, consider engaging your IT folks.
AutoCad 2022
Not a problem with AutoCad 2021 or 2018
Running all the same hardware.
All the same settings.
Can open the drawings in anyother version and it works fine.

Hi,
>> then using keyboard or Zoom window button
This description would have brought us to update 2022.0.1 as this was part of the repairs.
I hope you understand that the description is necessary to give valid suggestions (better than guesses all the day).
Anyway, good to know you have got it working. 😉

I had the same issue, and installing the update alone did not work. I then turned off 'linefading'. I assume the combination of the two worked.
