Hi,
I have AutoCAD 2021 running on one PC and AutoCAD 2022 running on another PC. I have the same drawing open on both PC's. I am trying to copy some text from one location in the drawing to another location in the drawing. On the AutoCAD 2021 PC, I can do the following:
- Zoom in to the location in the drawing where the text is that I want to copy.
- Select the "Move" command. Once in the "Move" command, I can select the text I want to move and then select my desired basepoint for the move operation
- At the point when the Move command is asking for the second point for the Move operation, I can choose the "Zoom Extents" command so that I can see my entire drawing.
- While still in the Move command, I can then choose the "Zoom Window" command to Zoom in to the location where I want to move the text.
- After using Zoom Window so that I have an up close view of where I want to move the text, I can complete the Move command by choosing the second point for the Move operation
On the AutoCAD 2022 PC, I am not able to perform the procedure I describe above. When I get to step #4 (and select the Zoom Window command), the Zoom Window command asks me to specify the first corner of where I want to Zoom (as expected). At this point, however, I am not able to move the cursor into the drawing area as needed to define my desired Zoom window. Instead, the cursor is "trapped" in the AutoCAD menu area.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible that this might be an issue particular to AutoCAD 2022, or if it might be related to a setting or other parameter that might be different on on PC versus the other?
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and best regards,
Paul
