AutoCAD 2020+ Hardware Requirements for the Future

Hi people,

just wanted to ask if an current MS Surface Book Pro 2 fits the Hardware Requirements for AutoCAD 2020 and future Updates / Versions. The current Hardware Requirements for AutoCad 2020 to an GPU are at least 1 GB Videomemory and recommended are 4GB Videomemory. Is that integrated GPU nVidia Geforce GTX 1050 more than enough for the upcoming 4 - 5 years?

Hardwarespecs:

MS Surface Book 2, 13.5"

Intel Core I7-8650U, 1.9 GHz+

16 GB RAM

nVidia Geforce GTX 1050 Mobile (2 GB GDDR5 Ram)

Many thanks in advice

Best regards

Gökhan

Look at the RECOMMENDED portions of the system requirements for AutoCAD2020 as your baseline for new devices https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/System...

Note that you seem to have ignored all many of them with your MSSurfaceBooks specs like the low 1.9Ghz processor as a start, and a GPU with 4GB.

The AutoCAD 2020 system requirements is as current as it gets. There are no "future" requirements listed.  Consider the STR (single-thread-rating) when looking at the processor. That I7-8650U has a rating of 2,247, not terrible when you consider the company of processors surrounding it.
