autocad 2019 dual monitors default back to single monitor every restart

Does anyone know how to keep my autocad desktop locked and stretched across 2 monitors? everytime i restart autocad i have palette's that disappear and the work screen stretches back to one monitor. Every day i have to readjust my background, toolbars, and palettes. resaving my workspace and locking "all" does nothing.

Hi @Anonymous,

You can save the configuration of your workspace in the icon of the gear or pinion that seems in the lower right bar of AutoCAD, when you have everything ready, go to SAVE CURRENT AS and assign a name; this includes location of toolbars and floating windows, among others.

Workspace - Save Current As.JPG

It is very practical if you have to move between environments like yours that you will now save and the default, without suffering. In addition, you can export it to keep it or, import it into another computer like home or office.

Finally, if you make a later adjustment such as moving a window or including a bar, you can save it again and overwrite it.

I hope this resolves your concern.

I am experiencing this too in Civil 3D 2022.  I open it and stretch it across both monitors.  When I close the software and Re-open it, it is set back to displaying on one monitor.

Interestingly, in Civil 3D 2021, it stayed stretch on both monitors once I stretched it the first time.

Is this a registry entry somewhere that maybe is not getting saved with 2022, or any version you all are using?

@MSchille-1994 dumb question: is your C3D up to the 2022.1.2 update level yet?

@pendean .......no dumb questions as far as I am concerned.  I actually just updated to 2022.1.3 yesterday.

Have you heard of potential errors related to this with earlier updates?

@MSchille-1994 I have not seen this issue in R2022.1.2 in our office, but we don't do it often and we are not running C3D either.
