AutoCAD 2019 constantly crashing

Hello there,

I'm at a loss at what to do. I upgraded to AutoCAD 2019 about a week after it was released and its been crashing on me on a daily basis recently, fortunately i have 'Autosave' set up and i 'QS' very regularly so I'm never losing a lot if any work. However this is still very irritating and odd for a piece of software of this calibre, constantly crashing. Just to put this into a bit of context AutoCAD has crashed on me approximately 11 times in the past 10 days! I never used to have this issue with AutoCAD 2018 so I'm wondering if this a know issue with the latest release?? - Should i run a complete 'Re-Installation of AutoCAD 2019??

In addition - I can confirm:

  1. My version of AutoCAD 2019 is up-to-date with the .0.1 update installed just a few days after it was released.
  2. My latest OS update was a 'Quality Update' on the 11th of this month.
  3. I'm running Windows 10 64 Bit.
  4. My NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 GC is up-to-date.

I have attached a screen shot of they latest error report that hit my workstation just moments ago.

I would greatly appreciate any help with this and understand there could be almost an endless number of reasons as to why this is happening. I will take the time and effort to try every option one step at a time.

Thanks,

Hi @Anonymous,

I am sorry to hear AutoCAD 2019 is constantly crashing as you work.

As you already mentioned the reasons for it to crash can vary and we would need to pin point it a bit better. Hence, could you please send in the reports you are getting with a valid email address and send me the email address in a direct message, so we can analyse them.

Meanwhile you can test the following solution that can help to address most known root causes.

Please let me know if the crashes can be resolved with the above article and let me know (be replying to me directly) the email address for the CER error report you send.

Hope this helps, while we wait for your feedback.

Cheers

Thanks Martin.

The next time I receive a CER I will send it in with my work email and then share my email address with you in a direct message. Is that what you mean??

In the meantime I will read through your attached article. Many thanks.

Regards,

Hello @Anonymous,

Welcome. I would also like to add the following information:

1. You can use your Event Viewer to locate the cause of the issue. Try to re-create the event/pull up the error again & locate the event error then search for it online this will help you determine the root cause.

2. Be sure you meet the system requirements for the software for Windows 10, making sure you have the required update applied.

3. Be sure to confirm that you are signed in as Administrator testing the account & locations AutoCAD needs access to or Creating a New User Account (Full Control user permissions).

Let us know if you have any more questions.

Please "Accept As Solution" if a reply or replies have helped resolve the issue or answered your question, to help others in the community.

I am having the same problem. I have just updated to Autocad 2019 and the software is crashing every few minutes. The most I have had it running for is around 10 minutes.

All my drivers are upto date and I am running Windows 10 Pro.

Talking to my colleagues they are having the same problem.

Any update would be appreciated.
