I have recently instaled AutoCAD 2018 (student version) in my computer.

Sometimes, when i´m working on a file (it happend with different files) suddenty appears the message:

"fatal error unhandled access violation reading 0x55c Exception at 19c30017h" and shuts down.

Does anyone know what this error is about? And how can i repair it?

HI @Anonymous,

Can you please verify the error message?

In the mean time, please verify that your graphics driver is fully updated, that your application is up-to-date as well as Windows.

Try opening AutoCAD and then using Recover on the lst file you were using. Does it find any errors?

Hello,

I didn't want to create a new post for a similar question.

I have installed Autocad 2018 (student version) and at first it worked fine, but last week it would shut down if I used it too long or if I tried to open a file in addition to the one I was working on. I could work about 4hours in the morning but then I couldn't open it properly until late at night for another few hours. Now it starts to load but never opens and Revit won't open either.

I am pretty sure my Nvidia is up to date, I used to have autocad 2019 but I changed it to autocad 2018 to see if it would work better.

I am pretty ignorant about computers and programs so I could be wrong about a lot of things.

Thank you

Hi,

>> it would shut down if I used it too long

For AutoCAD 2018 you should then install:

  • AutoCAD update 2018.1.2 (best to be done with your Autodesk Desktop App)
  • licensing hotfix 5.1.5 >>>click<<<
