HI @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

the Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll error can be caused by a variety of sources.

To narrow things down, please tell me about your computer hardware, OS, and AutoCAD version.  Have you applied all the Windows updates as well as the hotfixes and Service pack for AutoCAD? Have you checked for current drivers for your graphics card and printers?

Does this error occur at specific points in your workflow or is it at random?

Yes brand new windows installs and updates are complete. We are using AutoCAD MEP and have install all service packs and hot fixes with Autodesk Desktop App. I use the recommended video hardware URL link to get the best current driver for the PC. This is the first incident so we are keeping an eye on it.

End user just installed SnagIt and maybe it might be causing this?

HI @Anonymous,

It is quite possible that the one DLL is damaged. However, it might be worth running a Diagnostic startup to disable everything except AutoCAD.  This might tell us if there is an application conflict.

When AutoCAD crashes does it indicate that it wants to send a report to Autodesk? If so, please let me know the CER number so I can look up the report for you.

No it is not warning end user with error and it is not creating *.dmp files. We were having the errors until we got the correct video card drivers and was creating the dump files. .

I am thinking it is a printer issues because he added 8 print devices. But I do not know which one and I do not know if all printer devices are on their current version. Is there URL link we can use for approved printers for AutoCAD?

Hi @Anonymous,

If you suspect printers then I would like to suggest removing all of them. See if the crashing ceases. If so, then add each printer back one at a time. Verify that each install is done with the most current driver.

To my knowledge there is no "approved" printer list.

HI @Anonymous,

Did you try the diagnostic startup?  Did it still have failures?

We might want to look at the .Net Framework installed on your computer.  Which version do you have installed?
