Autocad 2014 support

Hello,

We have a client who is using Autocad 2010 with Trimble's PipeDesigner/DuctDesigner and Autobid SheetMetal/Mechanical. As per Trimble support, we need to first update the files to work with Autocad 2014, and then from there update them to work with Autocad 2018. The end goal is to update all 2010 files to 2018 so that they will work with Autocad 2018 and the listed plugins. However, when we used the Autodesk help bot to get the Autocad 2014 installer it says that only the last only the last four releases are supported. If anyone knows how one would proceed with getting an Autocad 2014 installer with a trial license, or if 2014 can still be used with a paid license, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Autodesk does not make AutoCAD2014 available anymore, no matter how much you are paying: subscription entitlements today go only as far back as AutoCAD2017.

I you cannot get a link to download here to get a 30-day trial https://ava.autodesk.com/ then you need to try eBay and other such sites.

Are you sure these files really need to transition through AutoCAD 2014 in the first place? Ask why you cannot just go straight to your current version.

You can probably use your current version to convert the files. The export tool can target any of a number of different versions.

If you have 2018 or newer, open the a 2010 file and export it to 2014. Open that newly created file and save it to 2018.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
