Does the user have admin rights on the PC?

May need to install the application as admin and certain Windows policy settings may require running as an admin.

Hello Blaine,

Thanks for the reply

The affected user took help from Local IT. Local IT gave temporary admin rights on his machine. Then he uninstalled and installed freshly but no luck. does we need to run the Microsoft fixit tool which resolve the corrupt reg entries

I've used one of the MS fixit tools to repair things when an old version did not uninstall correctly and the new version would not work well.

AutoCAD provides an uninstall tool which should be used but my experience has shown that the Autodesk tool and a Windows uninstall will leave a bunch of junk behind.

>Here< is an Autodesk link that could help with cleanup.
