Hello,

I am using autocad 2013 Architecture. When I try to assign a new material (from the metarial library) to a displayed object (e.g. wall or Mass Element) nothingis changed in the display. Nothing also hapens when I try to add a materials from the materials librarys to the materials Tool Palletes (click-drag-and-drop).

This used to work with Autocad 2010 - Do I miss any update here? I tried to install the SP2 update for 2013 - and it says that this is already updated.

Thanks for your help.

There is a dedicate ACA forum:

When you say that nothing changes in the display after applying a material to an object, what display do you mean?

Plan display? Model display?

Check your display configurations and also check the display style of the object you're applying material to and ensure

that the display is set to "by material"

Hello Leo,

I am working with the Model display.

Where do I set the display to "by material"? (In the Matterials tab under the Render Pannel, the Materials/Texture is set to "Materials/Textured on").

-----------------------------------------

When I choose one of the already used materials, (i.e. Edit Object Display > Materials, then i use one of the materials from those that have been used before) the display is changed as expected.

BUT, as I said before, I cannot use any new material from the materials library.

Also, when I click one of the materials fom the Materials Library and drag it to the materials palette, the cursor is changed as expected (it used to work with Autocad 2010) and all looks OK but at the end no material is added to the Materials Palette.

Thanks for your help.

Looks like that the reason for that issue was lack of memory in my laptop. I have a new laptop and this issue is solved.
