Autocad '17 frozen right after opening

So I have the student version of CAD 2017, and for some reason, right after I downloaded and opened it, the entire front window is frozen and none of the buttons work. I'm unable to open or create a new drawing file. I restarted the application several times and that's not working at all. Please help? Thank you! Let me know if I need to put out more info.

Did you already activate your license? Could it be possible that another window is opened and has the focus, but is hidden (outside screen area, behind AutoCAD's application window)?

What does the task manager show? Is AutoCAD active and uses processor power or is AutoCAD at 0% processor/kernel power usage?

 

What you can try:

  • disconnect your workstation from network and try starting AutoCAD again.
  • create a new Windows user on your system, admin permission, login with that account, turn off antivirus software and try AutoCAD again.

  • which graphic card and driver do you have
