Auto calculating Station Blocks?

I'm very new to AutoCad and my company has thrown me to the wolves here. I've searched and read until my eyes feel as if they could fall out at any moment. I've created a block to add stations along a proposed construction path. Is there a way to make each station location auto calculate its specific location along the path without going in and manually changing each footage mark? For example - Starting at the beginning of the path, my block shows 00+00. Problem is so does ever block on the path. I can insert blocks all day but each are to be set at 50' intervals along the path and need to show the specific footage measurement along that path, i.e.  00+50, 01+00, 01+50 and so on. Any help or pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forums. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

Thank you for posting. I believe there is a functionality in Civil 3D for this, it is not native to AutoCAD.  It may be possible to create a field formula that would change the value based a specific criteria, but if you need this automated based on the actual location in the drawing, a custom script is probably your best bet.

The AutoCAD Customizations Forums members have a wealth of knowledge relating to custom scripting.
