I have a dynamic block I need to add an attribute to that aligns with the curve of an arc. Is that possible?

I don't believe so but depending on what you're looking to put in these attributes, you may have some options.

Would it only be one word and/or would the attribute only display a small list of words that could be controlled via visibility states?

TEXTFIT command does not do text on an arc, does it?
Do you mean TEXTALIGN?
FWIW notice they both start with the name "text" which is not "attribute", a clue to the limitations.

Please post a sample DWG file with what you are looking for as a result, just fake it with text objects or individual floating letters, lets see what you are trying to accomplish.

TIA

I guess I meant ARCTEXT. What I have are our engineers stamps. All the stamps are in a dynamic block and some of the stamps require a date to be entered for the permit date. I have other attributes in some that are fine because they are horizontal text only, but one has an arc. Fudging the letters that are individually placed is not ideal and I cannot use visibility states because the date could change daily. For security reasons, I cannot upload the block.

ARCTEXT, note "text", does not work on attributes either sadly. Can this be text objects, you create once when you need it?

AFAIK what you want is not an option with plain Attributes features, but if it can be customized somehow, someone will jump in here to show you how.

if you want to try visibility state as an option with static text, there is a dedicated forum for Dynamic blocks here (when you post there though do not just repeat the first post, but include the more elaborate explanation in the reply above that you gave) https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/dynamic-blocks-forum/bd-p/154

I came up with a work around. I exploded the stamp block it because I couldn't select the arc I needed to insert the text along unless I did, added the ARCTEXT where I needed it then made a new block without including the text I added. Then I replaced the existing stamp in the dynamic block with it. I have to explode the dynamic block (the stamp remains a block) after inserting it for it to work.
Not sure the question was answered, but I no longer have a problem.
