Hi,

>> the content of the  attribute text are missing

As you write "something is missing" you should please describe where exactly you expect a value and which value you expect there (a screenshot could help).

That is what I see, so hard to say what you miss ...

how should it be look ? what is your missed data ?

Edit : your text field link is misdeed !! you have a broken attribute block . this is usually happend when fields loose the connections with the objects.

Hi,

Well, that attribute value is not missing, it shows a content, but a different than you expecting.

The only thing I can tell you is that this "####" characters are the content of the attributes, also the property window shows this content ... so something or someone overwrote the content.

@imadHabash

There exists a field in the predefined value of the "DET_NAME" attribute inside the block-definition ... but in the block-insertion the attributes content does not have any field information, does it? (it would show up with 4 chars = "####", not that many)

@Alfred.NESWADBA

i think that those characters ( ######### ) num. are depend to the object name that they supposed to show .

Hi,

Never have seen anything different than "####" (4 letters) for fields with missing source object.

Also when you go to attribute editor for the block-insertion ... there are no fields any more.

Hi,

>> can you explain how to fix this,

I would say you'll need to find a backup of the file that has valid content for these blocks and use copy and paste to get them into the current drawing.

Also interesting ... which products were working on this file so the data was killed/overwritten (or which guy) ... just to prevent this happens again.

Saving back to an old format or working on that file with a none Autodesk product could be an issue with fields.

In addition to what the others have said, you should open one of the blocks with bedit to better understand the structure of your view title blocks.  Some of the fields in this block definition's attributes are sheet set fieldsThese blocks should be used as part of a sheet set.  When you drag model views onto sheets (paper space layouts), the view title is automatically filled out based on the sheet set information. Sheet set field links are great until you copy/paste the view titles into  another drawing's model space, which is appears that you have done.

If you are trying to collect view titles into another drawing, the process would be to make a copy of the view title in the source drawing first and then to edit each attribute in the block reference (not the block definition).  Each field, would need to be converted to text prior to cut/paste to another drawing.  You could also just explode the copies of view titles with xplode. This would convert attributes to text. Some others might have alternate suggestions.

In addition, it appears that you have a mistake.  Don't use a sheetdescription field, when the intent is to display the sheet number.
