Attribute height in block is not he same in model space

Hi guys,

I've got a block i want to make annotative, so I am trying to set the attribute height (1.8mm) in the 1:1 scale. In the block editor i've set it to 1.8 units, but in the model space the attribute height is 3.79079 units.

eattedit, attedit, battman all indicate 1.8mm.

In STYLE my default text height for the text style i'm using is 0mm.

INUNITS is set to 4, and the 'error scale' is not inch to mm coefficient.

No point redefining block since text height in block editor is correct (tried anyway, didn't work)

I don't know where this auto-scaling comes from. Please advise, thanks!

Annotative blocks should be inserted at a scale of 1. The scale of the block in the drawing is 2.106. Multiply that by 1.8 and you get the height of the attribute text.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Hi RobDraw,

I did not scale the block when I inserted it in the drawing (I insert via tool palette). I don't want to scale the set height in Block Editor to 2.106/1.8 either, as I need to keep track of the actual size in paper space (easier for me to work in future as I have other blocks of similar issue, but different scales. Quite a hassle to keep track of them all).

I've checked INSUITS that my insertion scale is indeed 1, so any ideas on where the scale comes from and how remove it?

Hi and Welcome to AutoDesk Forum,

I've just open your problem.dwg and i insert it again... it's normal and inserted as you make it (1.8mm). maybe by mistake while you insert it you fill in Scale tab.

you can fix it by select all the scaled blocks then  Ctrl+1 > Geometry > Scale X modify it to 1.

Hi imadhabash

Thanks, the block insertion scale seems to be set at that default of 2.106. How do we set this back to 1 for all block insertions?

Hi,

Noticed that the properties for the block in the tool palette has this scale set so i can just adjust it from there. Problem solved! Many thanks!
