attach database and video

I was hoping to speak with someone knowledgable with all AutoCAD platforms and add-ons. "My question" Does AutoCAD or AutoDesk products have the ability to link process. Meaning if I have a CAD file of a ship can I click on a stair railing and see the welding or assemble instructions for that section? Can I also attach a video showing the proper way to weld? I understand you can attach a database i'm just not sure what files types can be seen in that database and not sure if you have other ways to do this. If you have these options can you send me a link to a video and or instructions or a diagram?

The problem with attaching a hyperlink is the link is in your drawing, your dwg file, and you've got to be comfortable making that choice. Be aware, if a user can access the link, then they can just as easily access your line work. A change in the drawing may be intentional or may be accidental. Either way, do you want to be held accountable? Their mistake is your mistake. A better and safer option would be to create links in a PDF. You can use Abode Acrobat to create links.
