ArrayClassic without Dialog Box

I don't like the Array Command in 2016. I want the much quicker version of years past. Using ArrayClassic is a big improvement but I want to make it even better by using the command prompt instead of the dialog box. Can someone help me get there? Basically I want the same Array Command I had in Acad 2010.

The -ARRAY command should allow you to use the older ARRAY command at the Command prompt.

Hi,

The answer for the old command without dialog is already done.

  • I just want to mention: any change you want to do after you created the array (distance, elements, objects used, ...) is not possible with the old array.
  • Path-Array is not possible with the old array

I'm not sure why the old one should be faster than the new one for creation, but I know that the new one is really faster if you want to modify any of the array parameters after the array was created 😉

Alfred..
I have never used Path-Array or had a reason to modify an array but I find the older version of array is faster for me.
Thanks for the comments though.

You can use the official command,  ARRAYCLASSIC.  I love the new associative array but everyone has different needs so there are different ways to do the same thing.
