I have downloaded several apps from the exchange. They are compatible with my '17 version of cad. I can not find them when I open a drawing. I have restarted the program.
The only thing I could think of is that I sign in with my autodesk account and the cad program is licensed to my computer here at work. not through my name or account.
but I still don't see why it would not work. everything is paid current and active
