api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll error in AutoCAD 2017

Can anyone help me solve this error. I Installed AutoCAD 2017 on my laptop which is running Windows 7 Professional. Upon launching i encountered this error - api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. I tried a solution from what I have read from other sites like Windows update etc. but it did not work. Any help will be appreciated.

thanks,

Dennis

Hi,

There are a lot of suggestions >>>click<<<, most of them get solved by uninstalling and reinstalling the VC++Redist's, but maybe you find more within the search results.

Good luck, - alfred -

What a surprise it does not work. I have another PC that has autocad 2017, is it possible to find the file and copy it? Where would it be located if this is possible?

Thanks.

Hi,

>> is it possible to find the file and copy it?

You might copy it, but it has to install some components with it.

Running the re-installation of the VC++ redist's will add the file, it's components and it's registering.

I recommend to go through all versions of VC++ as described >>>there<<<.

Hi everyone, I'm new here and need help.

I'm having the same problem as well when trying to install SketchUp. Does the solution given also apply to SketchUp application?

Thanks
