Anyone know why the camera does not export into a table?

Hi All,

I have a lot of cameras in my scene that I'm using to create a live action short from.  I'm able to use the extract data tool to get all the info from my cameras like the lens, the location, etc but when it comes to the name it just lists it as "camera".  I've specified the camera name for the camera and you can verify it in the Properties panel.  You can see in the example attached that I've created my table with the info that I want and then made another table with more info listed to see if I was missing something but it still lists the name as "camera".

Any idea how to get the name of the camera with all the other info?

Thanks!

Hi @caddude,

Perhaps the solution is to use a field to capture the name of the camera first. Will that work for your process?

Hi John.vellek,

Yes, it looks like I can pull that data from Objects - Named Object and
also Objects-Object then select the camera and use it in a field but it
should grab that data automatically, not sure why it doesn't. I shouldn't
have to set a field for it if the info is already there plus since I'm
picking the object I could make a mistake and pick the wrong camera as I'm
going to have multiple cameras in a scene. Ugg AutoCAD why do you fail
me!!!

Thanks for the suggestion!

Hi @caddude,

I agree that it would be nice to capture it without a field.

Thank you again for suggestion how we can improve the product.
