Annotative issues

Hello,

Recently I was adjusting annotative scales on my model space and seemed to have made an mistake. I was attempting to change the scale up on certain dimensions however it has made every single dimension/text box in the model space have 4 varying scales which has made my model space a complete and utter mess. Please see attached.

Is there a way to revert this back without changing every single dimension? ( there are probably around 1000)

Or a toggle to filter these out?
Most like this is just a stupid  mistake made by me (but an infuriating one) or could this be a error on autocads behalf?

Thanks for all your help.

There are 3 annotation scale buttons / toggles along the bottom of your screen. You should become familiar with their function.

You can turn off annotations by setting ANNOALLVISIBLE to 0 (zero)

You can also turn off ANNOAUTOSCALE, this will prevent the adding of annotation scales to objects when you change annotation scale.

Thanks, but changing ANNOALLVISIBLE to zero has only changed the leaders. Dimensions still blown up..

my annoautoscale was set to -4 and changed to 0. could the minus 4 tally up with the  number of scales? 1:2,1:5,1:20 + 1:50

Before altering this I noticed that if I change annotiation scale to 1:5 is appears to sort itself out and show the dims/text in the correct scale I orginally set it to. but setting to 1:50 it makes all dim/text 1:50 (which was added with my annoautoscale i presume?)

If you have ANNOAUTOSCALE on this wall add a new scale to annotative objects each time you change the annotation scale. That is why you see

all the ghosting of the different annotation scales.

You can select the annotatative objects, right click and on the submenu set the Annotative to "no".

Annotative objects are great if you want to show the same text or dimension object in viewports with different scales.

If the dimensions or text only need to show in one viewport at a certain scale, you may as well turn the annotation scaling off.

If you want to get rid of the scales you will not be using, for all the dimensions, in one action:

select a dimension with multiple scales.

Use command line and SELECTSIMILAR

use PROPERTIES to select scales where the ... are on the side of the active annotative scale.

select scales you do not want associated to those dimensions. Select delete.

BTW, you can also add dimension scales in this manner.
