annotative hatch scaling

I am using the ANSI133 hatch and I would like to hatch at scale 1:200 and 1:100. Graphically, the setting of angle 90 and scale 4 are perfect for 1:200. I add the hatch with these settings when I am in the 1:200 annotative scale when I add the hatch, and in preview it looks great. However, once I click ok, the hatch is totally solid. Is this a glitch?

Hi,

welcome @Anonymous.autodesk.com!

Besides of the info about AutoCAD version and service pack the drawing with just that hatch would be great.

AutoCAD displays (depending on AutoCAD release) hatches, which are too dense or might get invisible because of too large distances between the hatch-lines as solid, just to have the possibility to select the objects.

This can be the case if you switch to a annotation scale which would make the hatch display critical in either way. First make sure that your current annotation scale is set to 1:200 or create a layout with a viewport with the scale 1:200 ... will the hatch now also be displayed as solid while it is selected?

If that happens only in one drawing it might be helpful of you upload it.
