Hi,

you have to know that this red block that you have attached called anonymous (unnamed) block.AutoCAD drawing database (DWG) can contain various types of anonymous (unnamed) blocks. These anonymous blocks always start with an asterisk "*". You normally cannot use AutoCAD block editing commands with anonymous blocks.and you can notice that this broken or damaged block name is ( *U4 ) and if you go to Block Definition by BLOCK command you won't find any block with that name except the original one (RETURN_GRILLE_TAG). also there is another examples of anonymous blocks:

  • *U### - general anonymous blocks
  • *E### - anonymous blocks from non-uniformly scaled blocks - when exploded (e.g. solids, regions)
  • *D### - anonymous dimensions (dim blocks)
  • *X### - anonymous hatches (hatch blocks)
  • *A### - anonymous groups, DGN linetype blocks
  • *T### - anonymous blocks in tables
  • *S### - anonymous blocks of 3D views (Fusion360)

Good Luck...

i cleaned up your block and saw your issue.

use the "selectionannodisplay" and set to 0 this will remove multiple scale from displaying.

also i replaced the region with a circle- it responds better.

when creating annotative blocks it is always a good Idea to not manually scale them.

if created properly they will respond properly.

the images below display the different settings to consider.

Annotative scale assigned to the block

Annotative Block scales.PNG

Selectionannodisplay = 0

Selectionanndisplay0.PNG

selectionannodisplay = 1

Selectionanndisplay1.PNG

note the multiple scales displaying and the position of the R4 90.

I attached the revised block for your review.

Hi @kadmonkee @imadHabash,

Thanks for your response. They are visible without being selected. And turning into *U### block.

This is driving me crazy

i looked at your file,

I noticed you have a tag for both Supply and Return?

why? you can use the same tag for all you diffusers regardless of function

I am returning the file with a new name

I also renamed the block X GRILL TAG and GRILL TAG

I am not a fan of using underscores in a name (file block or other) thatch just me.

the X GRILL TAG is all set to BYLAYER Annotative and i Do Not Allow exploding  All RED

the GRILL TAG is set the same except i nested all the text on its own G-TEXT Layer  RED and GREEN

see image below

GRILL TAG.PNG

unfortunately BLOCK replace wont work here because of all the alias blocks in the file

I know it will be a bit of work , but if you place a good annotative block next to any of the bad blocks and apply all the attirbute info to the good ones then delete the bad ones then purge out the file you should be clean again.

good luck

ANNONALLVISIBLE also affects the display of annotative objects, though i dont think this is your problem.
