Can anyone tell me why Drawing2.dwg doesn't show the correct diameter, but Drawing1.dwg does? I'm sure it's a scaling setting somewhere, but I'm unable to find it. The models are identical, copy and pasted from one drawing to the other.

Use same number for DIMASSOC

Thanks, Patchy. That fixed it.

Is there some reasonable way I could have figured that out on my own or do I just have to memorize every command?

Open both drawings and use SETVAR command, then compare the DIM*

because it related to dimstyle.

So, no, there isn't a reasonable way I could have figured that out.

Usually in Properties Pallete one can use to compare drawings, but not in this case; so Setvar is next to try.

what do you consider resonable?

having used the product for 20+ years, from a time when more of the commands were required to be known, certain things are stuck in users heads.

answering post on forums for years will also help you identify triggers.

DIMASSOC has changed in definition and function over the years,

I would not have guessed it would have this effect

I guess the dimassoc=2 setting now associates with the viewport or annotation scale?

or by associating to object, it forces a read of viewport or annotation scale?

I'll check older version tonight
