Always XREF PNGs with Transparency ON

We are using PNG images of our signatures to digitally sign our plans.  By default, AutoCAD sets the transparency for these images to OFF & we have to manually right click the image & turn transparency ON.

Is there a way to set AutoCAD so that PNGs are always XREFed with transparency set to ON?

Thanks in advanced for the feedback!

Hi @lstarbird,

If the images are bitonal then you can set the sysvar TRANSPARENCY.  Check out this older post for more information.

Thanks for the tip John.  It appears that TRANSPARENCY may be specific to each image since it prompts to select the image.

TRANSPARENCYDISPLAY appears to control the sysvar but when I set it to 1, XREFed the image again, print previewed, it still isn't transparent.

Not sure if it makes a difference that this is actually in C3D 2014, but I figured this was likely a basic ACAD setting.

Thanks again for the help!
