Hello Forum,

My Son will be attending college this year and will be learning/using AutoCAD.  I've found this laptop on Amazon that appears to fit the requirements:

  • HP 2022 Victus 15.6" FHD Gaming Laptop
  • AMD Ryzen 7-5800H (Beats i7-10870H)
  • 64GB RAM
  • 2TB PCIe SSD
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti
  • Windows 11

I'm hoping someone from this community can confirm these specs would work well for him?

We'd like to purchase a laptop for his needs but we don't want to break the bank.  Any advice you can provde me would be greatly appreciated.

Looks more than adequate compared to their minimum requirements

The only 100% possible compatibility issue would be the gaming graphics card. AutoCAD is only certified with the following

But cards not listed here may still work especially for students learning how to use the program.
