Hi,

>> i am trying to make a dwg file of outlines from a building.

Are that multiple buildings? Or if you have just one building why are then multiple outlines excepted?

>> i want to add an outline_id attribute

You can create an attribute, all it OUTLINE_ID, then create a block from the outline + the attribute definition so you get the dialog to fill the attribute with a value. But not sure if that is what is really needed.

When you export these borders using FME, what are you doing then with the data?

That might make it more clear about what is really needed.

Can you use the XDATA Express Tool, to attach eXtended DATA [such as numbers or text strings or other options] to the outline elements [whatever they are]?  >Read all about it<.
