Action Tree not appearing in ribbon

I tried to make a very very very very simple macro just so that making a polar array with 4 objects would be quicker but now I can't edit the macro because the action tree isn't showing up when I click on the action recorder.

What am I missing here?

I'm not much of a "Ribbon" CAD user (I still prefer the use of the old Toolbar/Pallets & Pulldowns because they use less screen space), but.... have you tried a simple reboot?  I'm just saying as a person that has seen my share of nutty things in AutoCAD, sometime a simple reboot will clear up things after you have created a new macro, updated the pgp file, or application. I'm also sure (I saw this somewhere in regards to "add-ons") you have to close out the program (AutoCAD) and restart it for the update(s) to take effect.

Restarting AutoCad ....

Yup worked like a charm.

How frustrating!  (Only a bit tongue in cheek here ... it is very frustrating!)

Thanks for the solution 🙂

I don't restart AutoCAD. I select Home on the ribbon and then I select Manage and find the Action Tree and recorder has returned to the state I expect it to be on starting AutoCAD.

I have noticed this happens when switching from the Manage view to the Home view and back. A little frustrating because I would like to change linetype as part of my macro I'm working on. The only solution I have found is to restart Autocad.

TO create a macro, I tried to open the action tree by clicking the Action Recorder down arrow, but no action tree box appeared. So. I closed the ribbon toolbar and then reopened the toolbar, and magically the ribbon tree appeared. I didn't close and open the App.
