Hi everyone,

I  am creating the 3D interior designer house with Autocad 2017 program and I need a lot of furniture. So, my question is about another file format, how to convert to dwg? I  am interesting aco, o2c and 3ds format.

Second question is, could you recomend the internet site, where I can found dwg 3D object?

Thank you so much for help  :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa:

Hi,

welcome @Anonymous!

Which programs are you referring to when you write about file format "aco" and "o2c"?

For 3DS format you can use AutoCAD command _IMPORT which can import 3DS data.

Not one, hundreds ... just use Google for e.g. "furniture 3D geometry download", also a lot if furniture manufacturer have downloads available.

First try finding objects in 3ds, dxf and dwg formats and forget about the o2c and aco,

I don't believe you'll find a converter for them.

I attached here a program you can install to see objects in those two formats but no conversion:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KH687CBfUc81FNqv1j9Xcrk37G0EulwU/view?usp=sharing

For the .3ds format it's easy:

You can type import on the command line

Then choose your 3ds file,

There will be a dialog box that shows you the available objects, plus some other options,

You can highlight the ones you like and click Add, or click Add All to choose All the objects.

For the 3D DWG libraries, like said before, use google, you have plenty of websites for that.

Here's one of them:

I don't have any program... I just found 3D objects here and I don't know how  to convert or maybe is not inposible....

I found a lot of internet site but is not all object is dwg... it is different format (.3ds .obj .max .fbx  .c4d  ect)

For example:

https://www.designconnected.com/brands

https://3dsky.org/3dmodels/category/mebel

https://www.polantis.com/

You can start command _IMPORT in AutoCAD, there you can see the file-types which can be imported (plus DXF, which can be opened or inserted directly like a DWG).

3DS and FBX is a good start, just keep in mind that most objects for rendering are based on meshes with high density, that could make DWG file quite big (and so slow for rendering).
