I am setting up a home office with a physical server located there, but will have the ability to access the server via remote desktop. Can autocad be run via remote desktop?

Yes and yes. Remote desktop works just like you are sitting at that computer except you are using the remoting computer's peripherals and video card.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Hi @Anonymous,

AutoCAD does run in a VM environment. Though like all VM environments you could run into issues with the hardware, connection and or ability to save work. I would advise to be cautious with work sensitive material. I often use VM's for troubleshooting to try a replicate user's issues in a similar environment.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. 🙂
