aborted.(error:8) whilst installing

Hi, i have just downloaded the student version of AutoCAD 2016 to my HP 64-bit laptop running Windows 8.1.

 

Once i click on the instalation file it starts running, and then after a few seconds says "Aborted.(Error:8)"

 

Does anyone have any suggestion as to what can be causing this? or what i can do to get it to install?

Hi @Anonymous,

 

I see that you have an aborted install with an error: 8 warning. This is an indication that your Download Manager has gotten disconnected or blocked.

 

I suggest that you temporarily turn off your firewall and any security software so you can complete your install.

Did you turn off McAfee for the install process?  What's that question mark with the yellow exclamation in your notification bar?
