I am drawing in 1:1 and plotting 1:1 save to pdf so it can be opened in illustrator to plot for lazor cutting BUT it keeps opening in illustrator it was on scaled to fit the size of paper and they could not scale it to the true size.  We have tried everything to get it to work.  What are we doing wrong.  We even change model space to 1/16 = 1' and still not luck.  Please help.

Maybe the problem is in the illustrator? I don't have illustrator so I cannot help you there.

However, I open the exported PDF in PDF viewer, something like Adobe.  The PDF viewer should be reporting the page size.  If the page size is 48" x 96", it is not the AutoCAD that is messed up.

Hi @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

I move things between AutoCAD and Illustrator quite often and have not experienced this  behavior. Can you attach your PDF so I can try it in my Illustrator?

Something else you can try is to just open the DWG file in Illustrator instead of going to PDF  first. Does that work properly?
