I converted your 3D polyline into a solid. See attached. I guessed at the extrusion distance.
Steps I used to create the solid:
- EXTRUDE the 3D polyline. This create a surface extrusion.
- SURFPATCH
- Use CHAIN option to select edges along top of surface extrusion.
- ENTER to accept the default surface
- This creates the second surface
- SURFPATCH
- Use CURVE option to select original 3D polyline.
- ENTER to accept the default surface
- This creates the third surface.
- SURFSCULPT
- Select the three surfaces (extrusion and two patch surfaces).
On my PC, it took about two minutes to complete the patching steps and then another five minutes to complete the sculpting step. The sculpt operation joins the surfaces to make a solid.
I hope this is understandable. I have included a simple example of the progression steps.
