I am doing this for a homework assignment where I am supposed to make a detail drawing of a drill press base. I have imported the given stl file into 3ds max and converted it into a dwg file to make it AUTOCAD compatible. I am having trouble converting it to a solid however. The object hangs my computer and then responds with a simple error of, "object cannot be converted to a solid". The same is said for surfaces. I am unsure of how to fix this since the errors are very vague.
