  • Send the AUDIT (_AUDIT) command. With a Yes to the question.
  • Or maybe a ZOOM -> ALL and, then, a ZOOM -> Previous

IF not a setting of Graphic Card, It is what I do in case of problems.

Hello @jim78b

Type in the command "GFXDX12", set it to "0" and see if that helps.

YES HELPS thanks, but I lose the benefit of fast shaded mode, with the models I have in 3d it's very slow

i installed latest nvidia drivers but as I asked do I have to install an old certified driver?

I can remove hardware acceleration but is nonsense because i need all the power of my certified nvidia quadro p2000 card!

Audit, recover purge regapp all!

If you want to try to trouble shoot the issue, I would suggest trying installing an older driver and see if it makes a difference, though its not a surefire solution. In my experience upgrading the driver usually solves the issues.

If turning off hardware acceleration and/or toggeling GFXDX12 helps, I would recommend doing so.

I get the frustration of hardware not working at peak performance, but there are a lot of variables that have to be chased to nail down the exact issue. Depending on whats going on, that's not always the optimal solution.

REGEN3 should solve the issue without needing to disable fast shaded mode or close/open the DWG. That however sounds like a bug. Please report it so we can fix it.

What are the steps to repro?

Thanks,

Jorge

Then you need to find and install different drivers for your video card: newer or older, you'll have to experiment and restart your PC in between these installs.

Show us screenshots of both tabs of your GRAPHICSCONFIG command pop-up please.

In the meantime... instead of turning off GFXDX12... Have you installed the 2025.1.1 Update yet? ABOUT command in your AutoCAD will confirm what you have installed. If not, get it from your Autodesk Account Page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates
Restart your PC afterwards please.

If that did not help...  then start GRAPHICSCONFIG command and change the 2D Display Settings pulldown from "advanced mode" to one of the other choices. and uncheck or change one or more of these

Remember, you have a deficient video card / driver, the program can only work around that so much.

Best of luck.

Hi Jim,

I followed your steps and reproduced the issue; also confirmed it is not fixed by REGEN3. I will log a defect. Sorry about the inconvenience.

Regards,

Jorge
