3 String Braid

How would you go about doing this? I'm having a lot of trouble trying to replicate it unfortauntely. Thank you!

Do you have access to Autodesk Inventor?

Not exactly the same, but the process is the same in Inventor or AutoCAD.

You need the 3D intersection curve of 2 2D curves to define the Sweep path.
