Yosemite 10.10.1 - Autocad 2013 LT crashes despite update

Since updating my Mac to Yosemite, Autocad 2013 LT crashes every time when I try to edit lines, i.e. grabing a Grip and streching the line or relocating the Grip.

Autocad crashes immediatiely, but the drawing file still has a tick (when looking at the pop-up menu in the dock, when you right-click the Autocad icon) and appears to be open. The only way to continue is to Force Quit Autocad and re-open.

Does anyone have a fix for this?

Thanks, Ulrike

Hi Ulrike,

Does this happens with all drawings, even with new, just created?
If you have this problem only in one file- try to use AUDIT command in it to repair errors, try to use -WBLOCK command with * option to write the contents of this drawing to the new file to eliminate unnecessary data.

Hi Maxim

I have not had a chance to try a newly created drawing, but it happens with different drawings, all created before updating to Yosemite.
I will try AUDIT and ?WBLOCK and report back.

Thanks, Ulrike

Hi Maxim

AUDIT did not solve the problem, but creating a new file using -WBLOCK  seem to have done it.

So far so good.

Thanks, Ulrike

I am afraid to say that AutoCad is crashing again for the same reason as described before, WBLOCK did NOT solve the problem after all...:0(

Any other ideas? Is the AutoCad tech team aware of this?

Regards, Ulrike

Hi Ulrike,

Without your drawing at hand it's hard to say about the reasons of crashes...
