XREFPATHMAP Problems with Server

XREFPATHMAP Problems with Server

Hi,

I've looked and looked, but I'm at a loss as to why I can't reference files from a shared server. Can someone take a look at my server path mapping and tell me if I'm doing something obviously wrong? I've attached screenshots of both the finder path to the files I want to reference and the AutoCAD interface.

FOUND AT section needs to be populated and match the line below it, "not found" should not be there too

Is the XREF saved with full path in the top file? That could be the problem, the program is still looking for that Y: drive location tat obviously works somewhere on some computer?

Thanks for the reply!

Everything works on the other computer that uses these xrefs (a pc). My orphaned references match in "found at" and "saved path". The top file has a full path that checks out. It's just the parent files that have gone wrong: RC_00 and TB 364x48.  I've attached two screenshots to illustrate.Screen Shot 2019-06-19 at 11.16.10 AM.pngScreen Shot 2019-06-19 at 11.15.56 AM.png

Hi Kevin,

Your scenario works on my side correctly (AC 2019 on 10.14.5):2019-06-19_21-48-05.png

Can you verify once again:

does server path mapping assigned correctly?

It's not matching; the "Found At:" field is blank and the "Saved Path:" field is correct. I think the problem is in the way I set up the Mac pathing; the Windows address seems to be fine. Is there a way to edit my Mac pathing? I only have 3 options and none of them work.

It is not matching because path on windows side for some reason starts from Projects folder, which is inside homes/steveish/ssc-a folder on your "mothership3" server, but this Projects folder is not connected as volume on your Mac.

So you have to connect homes/steveish/ssc-a folder which is on "mothership3" server as separate volume on Mac. In Finder use menu Go->Connect to server and type path to server as follows:

smb://mothership3/homes/steveish/ssc-a - verify path, I could be wrong in spelling

or use Browse button to browse to ssc-a folder on server.

Then AutoCAD will be able to find Projects folder and and all subfolders.
