Where is the “ Replace Z value with current elevation” option on Mac?

Guys,

i can’t find the “Replace Z value with current elevation” on the Mac version of autocad. Where is it located? Or does the Mac version not have that option? In general I found the Mac version of autocad severely worse than the pc version.

Hi Kryn,

 

In AutoCAD for Mac you can change this option by changing OSNAPZ System Variable. The default value is 0 (zero), if you want substitute the Z-value of the specified point with the current elevation - set it to 1.

At the command prompt:

Command: OSNAPZ
Enter new value for OSNAPZ <0>: 1
Command:

 

Or with this AutoLISP statement:

 

(setvar "osnapz" 1)

 

It is not saved either in the AutoCAD settings or in the drawing, so you need to set it every time when you open a drawing.
