Unable to find main dictionary - No file at all

No aplicable

The message "unable to find main dictionary" pop-ups every time I open autocad 2021 for mac. I already tried everything I found on this forum. The only one difference between me and the other cases is that I don't have a "Main dictionary" at all into the application preferences... how can I do?

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi @Anonymous ,

What is the value of DCTMAIN system variable?

You can verify it by typing DCTMAIN at the command prompt and hitting Return.

By default it is "enu":

Command: DCTMAIN
Enter new value for DCTMAIN, or . for none <"enu">:
Command:

If it is "enu" and you still get an alert from AutoCAD, try to set it for none by entering . (period) for its value.
