TXT2MTXT on Mac

Is possible to use the command txt2mtxt in Autocad 2013 for Mac? If not, is there a similar command to join several texts into a single mtext?

Hi,

Yes, possible.

In attachment you will find slightly modified version of TXT2MTXT Lisp routine (free routine from www.dotsoft.com). With this routine you can convert to single line TEXT to MTEXT even if it has one string, just follow prompts in Command line.

Attempted to use this, it is Windows based, not Mac. Hence, not what I am looking for.

This routine doesn't contains Windows version specific functions and works perfectly in AutoCAD for Mac. I'm using it in my daily practice.

BTW, what do you mean by "Mac based" AutoLISP?

so then where does the *.lsp files go on a Mac. I was unable to locate, which is why I determined that it was windows based. Or am I mistaken?

Hi Richard,

You can put *.lsp files anywhere inside your Home folder, for example you can create special folder exclusively for AutoLISP files. Than you can use APPLOAD command to load Lisp files as you do on Windows.
You can also include the folder you created for AutoLISP files to the TRUSTEDPATHS system variable:

in order to load AutoLISP files from this folder without security alert.

And, of course, you need full AutoCAD (not LT) to be able to use AutoLISP.

I have AutoCad 2015 for Mac, but there is not command MLSTYLE, as well in Format there is no Multiline Style. Is there any solution? If it is possible please explane with simply words because I am not pro in IT. Thanks 🙂

Hi,
Multiline Style is not a feature of AutoCAD for Mac, you can not create ML Styles in it.

On Mac you can only use Standard multiline style or ML styles already created in drawing in PC version of AutoCAD. Before you start to draw ML you can change justification and scale of ML (options inside MLINE command). After you create Multilines in drawing you can edit them with command line version of MLEDIT command (join, add or delete vertex etc.)
