Hi, Im trying to align a block attribute definition for our title block. I cannot align to the right for the drawing title and status and so everything ends up offset. I've tried aligning manually but hate this not being accurate and having to "eyeball" it. Help! there must be a way as is perfect in the block editor, but not in paper space. It's happening on every sheet.

Attsync doesn't seem to do anything, not align to right etc....

***I'm not a CAD expert so if you can help, please reply in simple terms***

Hi Laura,

Have you tried to edit block in Block Editor and change Justify option for attribution definitions from Left to Right?
After you save block and return to the drawing, use ATTSYNC command to sync attributes in inserted block.

OK,
Can you illustrate somehow what do you wan to get?
Maybe screenshot of existing block and screenshot of what you would like to have.

I don't have Novecento Wide font which you use for most of text styles in your drawing, so I cannot replicate your case exactly.
It will be better also to use Package Drawing (from File menu) to create an archive with DWG and fonts you use in it and attach this archive here.

Sorry, but TTF font was not included in package.

Make sure to check it in package settings before creating archive:

Look at the attached drawing.

Is that what you need?

Thanks, I think we are getting there but it's still all misaligned?

The "drawing series" and "drawing number" Id like to be aligned to the right, everything else to the left.

Is there something wrong with my CAD? ...or the font??

Font and screen shot of what I see when I open the file are in the ZIP file as my package setting don't look like yours. (MAC LT 2019)

many thanks.

I thought you need everything aligned to the right, but you need only two of them....
I see you save your drawings in 2010 DWG format for some reason.
What AutoCAD version you are using?
If it is 2018 or later, you need to use 2018 DWG file format for save (see right side of General tab of AutoCAD Preferences) in order not to allow attributes to shift from correct position between opening drawings.

I attached drawing saved in 2018 DWG format. Try to set default format for save to 2018 DWG

Then open attached drawing, work with it, save, close, reopen and look at the attributes.

I see you are using 2019 AutoCAD, so you will be able to set 2018 DWG format as default.

Huge thanks again Maxim. I've changed my setting to save as 2018.

When I open your drawing it's perfect but when I save, close and reopen again, its all misaligned again. the text on every sheet is in a different place. screenshot attached.

Are you trying the drawing I attached to my last post?

I don't see any shifting on my side in AC 2019 wit 2018 DWG format.

Double check you set default format for save here:

Can you attach your variant of drawing after you see attribute shifting?
