Sync App with desktop version

Sync App with desktop version

Hi everyone,

maybe this is a stupid question and simply an issue with my macbook but: I started drawings on my iPad app and want to finish them on the laptop. Now they do say 'saved to cloud' on the app but I have no way to get them to show up on my desktop version. I tried to move them to my dropbox which doesn't work either.

Any Ideas? I'm using AutoCAD 2019 with a student license if that makes any difference and the newest version of the app.

My computer is quite old and slow, it took me ages to get it installed in the first place, which means maybe I'm just not patient enough with waiting for it to refresh .... if so please tell me!

Thanks for any suggestions 🙂

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi

There is no special sync application from Autodesk for Mac, so you can find (and download for editing on Mac) drawings created in AutoCAD mobile app here:
https://web.autocad.com/acad/me
Or you can edit drawing in WEB browser (for now only Google Chrome is fully supported).

Another way - you can add Dropbox as source to AutoCAD mobile, create drawing and then move it to Dropbox (or move existing drawing) to your Dropbox with AutoCAD mobile app file manager. From now on you can open and edit this drawing in mobile app or on your Mac directly from Dropbox - all changes will be saved and you will be able to start work on iPad and continue on Mac.
