I worked on the draw (11.5M) and suddenly it becomes very slow. I tried to copy to new draw, purge, -purge,recover but nothing helps.

Please help.

Thanks.

Hi Marta,

What AutoCAD version do you use?
If it is 2020 or 2021 version, I recommend you to clear all blocks from Recent blocks tab of Blocks palette:
Activate Blocks palette, go to Recent block tab, right-click inside the tab and select "Clear all" from context menu.
Test AutoCAD performance.

I work with version 2019 for students.

There is no "Blocks palette" there.

Do you have slow performance only with one particular drawing?
If so, can you share it here on the Forum?

It was 11 M and after very small changes became 15M.

I added the file.

Thank you.

I reviewed your drawing and have fount that there are a lot of parametric constraints in it:

https://help.autodesk.com/view/ACDMAC/2019/ENU/index.html?guid=GUID-953BD552-4B04-4CFD-ADB5-175BCCD6...

Do you really need them?

In the attached drawing I deleted them all with menu Tools -> Parametric ->Delete Constraints

Command: _DelConstraint
All constraints will be removed from selected objects…
Select objects: all
75075 found
Select objects:
2268 constraint(s) removed

I think they were created because you have Infer Constraints turned ON.

Check CONSTRAINTINFER system variable and set it to 0 (zero) if you don't need constraints. You may accidentally turned it ON with a button on Status Bar:

So be careful with it.
