Step file into AutoCad 2017 MAC

Hi, I'm trying ti import an .STEP file into AutoCad 2017 for MAC, but the only files I can import is, "ACIS(.SAT)" and pdf. 

If someone has a solution for this I would be very happy.

HI,

it's NOT applicable for AutoCAD for mac.... You can only import SAT and DXF (DXB) files.

Alright, but can I convert it somehow so that I can then import it ?

You might install a Windows version of AutoCAD using Bootcamp (or VmWare or similar tools)

You might try Fusion 360 to convert the STEP file to a SAT fille (which then can be imported into your AutoCAD for Mac.

If it's a one time job then upload the file and I'll try to convert it.

AutoCAD Mechanical supports a dedicated command to translate STEP files into the DWG format.

Hi Mathias,

AutoCAD for Mac cannot import STEP files, the only one workaround is to use other application to import STEP and save it in DWG or DXF format, then open saved DWG in AutoCAD for Mac.
This application could be AutoCAD for Windows or Rhino
