Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

You can try to create new account on your Mac with Admin privileges, login to it and launch AutoCAD. Does it start now?

Thanx for the tip.

I installed under my Administrator Account on my Mac.

Also tried upgrading to El Capitan (hence the delay in getting back) as thought AutoCAD MAC 2016 may require this upgrade.

Still no joy

Hi,
I asked you to create new user account. Have you tried this?

Have you tried this solution:
http://upandready.typepad.com/up_and_ready/2012/09/autocad-lt-alert-the-directory-may-be-locked-by-a...

Plus there is another topic about such issue :

OK great, that worked.   My error was that I was looking at the shared folder and locked tabs for the folder and not the permissions at the bottom of the screen.   Autocad booted up once I enabled R&W access for all users, not just the adminstrator.

Thank you very much for the help.
