Square dots appear after creating and deleting shapes

I have the newest (2021) version of AutoCAD which I am running on my 16" 2019 MacBook Pro.  I am having an issue with small multi-colored square-shaped dots showing up when I create objects or delete them.  When I delete an object, the dots appear where the object was.  When creating an object, the dots appear somewhat randomly and sometimes as a ghost of the curser.  The dots always disappear when I either zoom in or pan around.  I have tried toggling the hardware acceleration and I have the appropriate graphics that this version of AutoCAD requires…any suggestions or help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Lilian,
There is a knowing issue with some Mac models with macOS 10.15.4 update.
Please look at this post:
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-for-mac-forum/autocad-2021-having-to-regen-all-the-time-graph...
There you will find workaround:
"Click menu AutoCAD 2021 > preferences > in General tab, change the graphics engine from Metal to OpenGL. Then restart AutoCAD. The issue should be gone."
