I haven't received any information on the update for R14 and Yosemite.  Any word on the service pack?  I have already installed R14 and desperately need help in order to dimension.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

Do you mean AutoCAD 2014?
Here are the links to all Service Packs for it:

SP1- This update resolves compatibility issues on the new Mac OS X Mavericks, as well as the issues that have been reported while using the software on the latest versions of Mac OS X Mountain Lion. It also resolves problems reported by the Customer Error Reporting (CER) utility and other general problems identified after AutoCAD 2014 for Mac was made available.

SP2- This update resolves critical issues for AutoCAD 2014 and AutoCAD LT 2014 on the Mac OS X Mavericks, and improves the stability.

SP3-This update resolves compatibility issues for AutoCAD 2014 on the Mac OS X Yosemite, and improves the overall stability.

You need to install them all from the 1-st to the 3-rd

The release I have is AutoCad 14. I have Yosemite already installed. The SP1 doesn’t even recognize that I have AutoCad 14. Could this be because I already have Yosemite? I was hoping that there was a service pack available for this situation or what do you think is going on? My actual installation of AutoCad was earlier - maybe 11 - but I received the updates through the subscription.

There is no such AutoCAD version for Mac. AutoCAD for Mac versions are: 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015

What does this mean? Do you have some messages from SP1 installer when you are trying to install it?

Have you tried to use "Check for updates" from AutoCAD menu?

If you will get this:

after you select "Check for updates", than all SPs are already installed.

If you are absolutely sure that you have not installed any Service Packs for your AutoCAD version and you already are on Yosemite, than you need to download new full installer fro AutoCAD 2013 from here:

http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-for-mac/downloads/caas/downloads/content/autocad-2013-...

This installer already includes all Service Packs:

This full version re-release of AutoCAD 2013 for Mac is provided for customers who require a fresh install on Mac OS X Yosemite, since the original installer cannot install the product on Yosemite. This full version is in line with the AutoCAD 2013 for Mac with Service Pack 3.

Than remove AutoCAD 2013 installation you have on your Mac with "Remove AutoCAD" application,

than install it again with installer you downloaded now.

During uninstallation you can leave your AutoCAD preferences and after you install it again everything should be "in place".

So order of action is to uninstall 2013 with the AutoCad uninstall and then download this upgrade? Does the uninstall typically take a long time? And to make sure the preferences are maintained to I need to do something before uninstalling?

It doesn't matter, but I'd suggest you download installer at first, than proceed with removing of existing installation.

In order to save your personal settings of the existing AutoCAD installation you need to leave this:

2015-04-07 15-43-16 Remove AutoCAD 2013.png

checked in the second uninstallation window.

Uninstalaltion usually takes a few seconds.

I have tried several times to uninstall. I have a “remove auto cad” for 2011 and 2013. Neither works. Any suggestions?

If you want to uninstall 2013 version, you need to use Remove AutoCAD from AutoCAD 2013 folder (in Applications -> Autodesk folder).
Do you get some alerts when you was trying to remove 2013 version?
